Leesbrook were slow starters and the visitors took full advantage in the first quarter with a penalty from Paul Bloor and try from Dave Roberts converted by Bloor.
Stung into action, Ryan Manning broke from defence. From an ensuing penalty, prop Joe Burns drove over near the posts for Sean Room to convert.
After kicking too much valuable possession away, Leesbrook went further behind on half time with a second converted try from wingman Roberts.
With the slope in rthe second half Leesbrook looked dangerous but were matched by a sound defence. From a breakout, Steve Balmer scored a further try for visitors and when Bloor added a drop goal the game looked over.
However in the last quarter Leesbrook got on top. Craig Lawrence got a deserved try, diving over a ruck American-football style. Sean Room converted to launch a late rally.
In the end, it proved too late and the result may prove a key blow to Leesbrook's promotion hopes.
