Leesbrook opened brightly when Olivier Francois was freed to sprint in under the posts. Rob Brown converted. From the restart Chris Impey broke through to feed Ryan Manning to score. Brown converted and added a penalty.
Flanker, Owen Lyon took an inside pass from Dan Thrasivoulou to touch down for another converted try. Manning added his second try taking a short ball and cutting through the centre at pace.
Vale's bigger pack began to gain confidence and scored a converted try from a rolling maul and a penalty before half time.
In the second period Vale came back strongly and earned another try. At 15-27 Leesbrook had to defend desparately in their own 22 for a period. In the last ten minutes Vale tired and Leesbrook were able to open up again.
Wingman, Chris Impey added two tries with one converted by Sean Room to complete the scoring.
