Keyworth 10pts Leesbrook 13pts
Depleted by injury and illness, Leesbrook had to work hard to overcome a strong Keyworth team. Steve Watt was prominent in a busy defense which kept the home team down to one try from a forward drive in the first quarter. Leesbrook settled and and looked dangerous on the counter attack. Centre Ryan Manning broke from inside his own half and fed John Lees who was pulled down on the 22. Flanker, Owen Lyon was first to the breakdown and stepped inside the defence to score under the posts. Swannick converted and added a penalty goal two minutes later.
In the second half Keyworth equalled the score with a pushover try. In an exciting finale, Guy Redfearn ran through several defenders before being pulled down in front of the posts. When the defense obstructed the release of the ball, Paul Swannick was on hand to add the penalty and secure the victory.
