Shaun Roome gave Leesbrook the lead with a penalty after ten minutes but as the rain fell, Worksop gained the advantage. First Kev Maguire broke from the base of the scrum and held off two tacklers to score in the corner. Then quick second phase ball gave winger, Ian Baskill the overlap to touch down. Woodland converted. Another penalty from each side made it 6-15 to the visitors at the break.
After the break Leesbrook opened up and scored the try of the game when winger Jack Stanton finidshed off a movement started in Leesbrook's 22 by holding off two tacklers to dive in at the corner. Worksop pounced on the spilled wet ball to score under the posts and added another penalty to go further ahead.
Again Leesbrook responded. Shaun Roome stepped inside the defence and set up a ruck from which John Lees drove over. With ten minutes to go Leesbrook looked on top but Worksop held out to take the points.
